Paper Plane
By Richard Sutton
Beautiful scene, sensitises me
This journey that's my life seems to fly
Like a paper plane
Just like a paper plane
Can only fly so far, fragile from the start
Moves up and down, in no straight line
Just like a paper plane
Life's a paper plane
It follows the wind, is it my friend?
Then suddenly it plants me on the edge
Half the time it just breaks me down
So let laughter form the other
Like a paper plane
Won't listen to my rules, never answers to my calls
This journey that's my life sharply turns
Like a paper plane, like a paper plane
Life's a paper plane
But then one day
I battled the rain, like I was made of rock!
And on that day, when I was going down
It raised me, right to the top........right to the top!
But it follows the wind, is it my friend?
Then suddenly stabs in my back again
Half the time it just breaks me down
So let love form the other
It drifts away so fast, losing moments to the past
This journey that's my life swiftly falls
Like a paper plane
Like a paper plane, like a paper plane
Like a paper plane
