RICHARD SUTTON
Bracondale
By Richard Sutton
They try so hard, but I just walk away
And they say I'm falling off the tracks
I tell myself to forget what they might say
I follow my thoughts, not yours
And I promise you my mind won't crack
So tell me I'm wrong, ignite my fears
I feed off the words I hear
It just makes me strong
A stone wall rises in your path
I can't fail when I'm built like Bracondale
I judge myself by comparing to you
And the voices always put me down
I tell my myself to believe in what I do
I grow from the strain of pain
And I promise you my mind won't crack
So tell me I'm wrong, ignite my fears
I feed off the words I hear
It just makes me strong
A stone wall rises in your path
I can't fail when I'm built like Bracondale
It's craggy flint walls
Show a tapestry of the past
And proved it could last forever
Cuz Bracondale, never fell apart
It still stands guard
So remember, when you try to take control
Bracondale's built into my heart and my soul
